About PARC

Incorporated in 1964, the Peel Amateur Radio Club has been serving the people of Peel Region, and building the community of amateur radio operators, for many years.

We offer a great community of fellow Hams, with a wide variety of interests. Our members come from a varied background; from electronics professionals to students, from real estate brokers to housewives, from teenagers to retirees. If you have an interest in radio communications in any of its forms, this is a  terrific club.

We’re a very active club, and we invite you to explore the site to learn more about our club, participate in an event, attend a meeting, or help out in the community.

Our Club is known for its Homebrewers. Over the past several years, members have participated in twice yearly “Build-a-Thons”, where we have built items ranging from test equipment, QRP CW transceivers,  Software Defined Radios, Antenna tuners and much more. We have all learned a great deal from these projects. They are set up so even rank beginners can achieve great results!

Many members of the club share information and ideas on Yahoo! groups that have been running for many years.  Check on our Home page for a listing.  Feel free to  join up!

Why not look at out History and Archives?

If you don’t find what you want on the site, please contact a member of the executive.  We would be pleased to hear from you!
