I want to thank all of those PARC members who participated in this year’s Field Day. Despite very challenging conditions of torrential rain and strong winds, all of our stations operated through the 24 hr period. While our initial assessment shows that our score will be down, it’s clear everyone’s point score will be down.
I also want to do a special thanks to the Minister of State of Sport, Bal Gosal, for visiting our setup, and to Jack Summers VA3XR, for making it happen. We were gifted with a wonderful framed letter from Prime Minister , the Right Honourable, Stephen Harper on celebrating our 50th year, and we also received a letter of congratulations from the Govenor General, his Excellency, the Right Honourable, David Johnston. I also want to thank Nouman Khalil from the Brampton Guardian in covering our event.
Pictures, and website postings will be coming in due course. Right now, there are a bunch of our members who need to an evening to dry out, clean up, and and rest.
Thanks to all who pitched in! You guys are the best!
Joe de VA3POR
