1. The 40/15 Meter phone station will be changed from previous years, running strictly on 40 Meter phone for the 24 hours while the 15 Meter phone station will be combined with the HF digital. This arrangement will afford more on-air time to all three stations without changing our operating classification.
2. The VHF/UHF/6 Meter station will be sharing the same tent with the 15 Meter/HF Digital station. Have a look at the FD site layout elsewhere on this web site.
3. To eliminate the issues experienced with power sources in previous years, a Power Team has been created. They will organize all aspects of battery and generator usage to assure all equipment is kept operational for the full 24 hours. New batteries have been obtained.
4. The on-line signup for operators and loggers will not be possible for this year so everyone is encouraged to contact the various bandleaders (below) and make their availability known.
5. Bandleaders for this year are:
- 80/20 Meter Phone – Peter VE3POA
- 40 Meter Phone – Rod VE3WWP
- All Band CW – Pierre VA3PM
- HF Digital/15 Meter Phone – Don VE3REO
- GOTA – Joe VA3POR
- VHF/UHF/6 Meters – ???
- Antenna Team – Gord VE3GKN
- Power Team – Joe VE3VDK
- Computer Team – Edmondo VA3ITA
- Welcome Tent – Ernie VE3VBJ
- Bonus Points – Richard VA3RMU
6. We still require someone to handle the VHF/UHF/6 Meter station. This will likely only run for a portion of FD but can still garner enough contacts to make it worthwhile. Anyone who can assist with this is requested to contact one of your FD coordinators, Vic VE3FOX or Richard VA3RMU.
7. All functions already have an assistant leader except for the Welcome tent. Please contact Ernie VE3VBJ if you can assist.
8. The FD rules are identical to last year.
9. The FD draw, for all active participants, will be for a free one year RAC membership. The draw tickets and entry box will be located in the Welcome tent.
10. We will again be using the same N3FJP logging program as last year.
